Adam F. Barbeck, age 95, passed away peacefully Monday morning with family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Ann Marie (nee Petruzzi). Loving father to Gary (dec) (Cynthia), Kevin (dec) (Luci), Curtis (dec), Kris, Craig (Julie) and Mary Adkins (Tom, dec). Grandfather of 11. Great-grandfather of 13. Great great-grandfather of 3. Son of the late Adam Frank and Catherine (nee Frank). Brother of the late Catherine Braham.
Visitation Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10 - 11 a.m. at FORTUNA FUNERAL HOME, 7076 Brecksville Rd, Independence, OH 44131 followed by 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Albert the Great Church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to St. Albert the Great Parish or Hospice of the Western Reserve.

My condolences to the family at the passing of "Uncle Sonny". I'll always be grateful for the childhood memories of the summer family parties. I know there is a special place for him above w/ Aunt Marie.
Although 20 plus years have passed since I last saw him, what always stood out was he was a good listener. He seemed to always be interested in you and how you were. He made you feel special.
I guess it was fitting as I went for a walk w/ the dog (thinking about Uncle Sonny) that baseball season was starting for "fall league". As I walked, I reflected that Uncle Sonny probably spent a lot of time and effort at the ballparks with all my cousins. There was a lot of time, energy, devotion that was shared with his boys. Adam (Uncle Sonny) was a good man who will be missed by many.

Craig, I am so sorry to hear of your father's death. My sincere condolences to your entire family I remember us discussing your father at one of your recent backyard fires and you indicated that he was doing okay and he was still driving. God blessed him with a pretty incredible long life.
