Agnes Florke Obituary

Agnes Jean Florke, Blue Eye, MO, daughter of Bernard and Altha (Bower) Zembsch, was born October 19, 1929, in Cherokee, IA, and departed this life on February 22, 2023, at the age of 93.


 


Agnes Jean had lived in the area for 53 years, moving here from Centralia, MO.  She was a homemaker, keeping busy raising her four children.  She was a member of the Blue Eye United Methodist Church of Blue Eye, MO.


 


Agnes Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie Florke; son, Dennis (Butch) Florke; four brothers, Robert Zembsch, Dean Zembsch, Howard Zembsch and Leroy Zembsch and grandson, Eric Florke.


 


Survivors include: two sons, Donald Florke and wife, Janet of Blue Eye, MO and Devin Florke of Kimberling City, MO; daughter, Donna Reece of Darien, GA; brother, Bill Zembsch and wife, Eunice of Fordland, MO; five grandchildren, Carrie Florke of Springfield, MO, Janelle Florke Siercks and husband John, of Blue Eye, MO, Jeffrey Florke and wife, Mikayla of Blue Eye, MO, John Florke of St. Louis, MO and April Reece of Hollister, MO; eleven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.


 


Memorial service for Agnes Jean will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Blue Eye United Methodist Church, Blue Eye, MO, with Reverend Jack Smith officiating.


 


Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.

Jean, growing up with Butch and having you as a den mother in scouts, and all that you did for us kids growing up in Centralia , was so greatly appreciated. Eddie Miller I and would talk about you , as he would share about his visits with you and your family over the years. Family, May our LORD comfort all of you. God Bless .
