Freiburger, Alice (Jestila) Boyd, age 84 from Flint, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Henry Ford Genesys.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held at this time.
Alice was 100% Finnish and was a proud “Finn” through and through! She was lovingly known as Al by friends and family. She was born in L’Anse, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula, on January 20, 1942.
She was preceded in death by her late parents, Sadie and John Jestila, siblings Edward, John, and James Jestila, twin sisters Eleanor (Jestila) Mickels, and Evelyn Jestila, and grandson Griffin Boyd.
She is survived by husband: Robert Freiburger, children: Holly (Boyd) Seymor, spouse Daniel Seymour, Michael Boyd, spouse Laurie Boyd, Amy Boyd, and James Boyd, and granddaughter Brenna Boyd-Sherrer, and spouse Ronnie Sherrer.
She retired from Buick in Flint, Michigan. Alice also previously worked as a neighborhood Avon Lady. At Avon, she made the President’s Club based on high sales as an achievement. Alice also worked as a professional portrait painter. When her children were small, she worked as a Lunch Lady at Carman Park Elementary School in Flint, Michigan. Alice enjoyed gardening, bowling, skiing, crafting, and ice skating for entertainment. She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her!
