Alida was an incredibly fun and wonderful woman whose quiet strength and intelligence always made any day a good one -- especially when wine was involved.
Several weeks have gone by since her passing and I'm still in disbelief.
Rest in peace, Alida. Friday nights will never be the same.

Alida was one of our regulars at Stewart & Jasper in Patterson, and our little team could always count on her bright smile and warm presence to make for a good day. When I first started working here, she was one of the very first, and very few, who showed me so much patience and kindness; just the true embodiment of a genuine person. She’d always make me day when I’d see her. She was so obviously loved, and will be dearly missed.

Alida was one of my parents at Von Renner where I taught Kindergarten eons ago. I remember how she was so supportive of her children and the school. I loved her down to earth sense of humor. We met again later as my growing family was buying a van in Turlock and her family was trading in their van for a smaller vehicle. It was like we had just seen each other the day before. She was one of those parents with great kids and a helping hand that made teaching an easier and much more enjoyable job.

Alida was a lovely, generous and talented person, who will be greatly missed. When our son was born she made him a beautiful teepee that he and his younger brother used as a clubhouse for years...we still have it! Our condolences to Larry and Family. - Carrie & Bob Kelley
