Allan Watters Obituary

RET. CAPTAIN KEITH WATTERS
CITY OF WINNIPEG FIRE DEPARTMENT

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Allan Keith Watters on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He passed away in his home, in Winnipeg, at the young age of 62 years.
Keith is survived by his daughter, Marlo Watters (Kyle Leblanc); granddaughter Katharina Watters; brother George (Janice); sisters, Gwen, Kay (Raymond), Evelyn, and Audrey; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Susan who he was married to for 33 years; his father Richard Patrick Watters; mother Jennie Pearl Eileen Watters (Hall) and brothers-in-law, Bill Charney and Don Odell.
On May 8, 1953, Keith was born in Virden, Manitoba and later moved to Winnipeg, where he met his future sister-in-law and wife. Keith was always a hard worker, from helping out on the farm as a boy to working in construction until he found himself at the Winnipeg Fire Department in the late fall of 1976. While being a fire fighter was quite a feat in itself, Keith (like many others) had a second job for his off days. At one time delivering pizzas, co-owning Rj's Pizza with his wife and then running Keith's Core Lawn Care. He was dedicated to his work and loved what he did. Many of us know the stories well and may they help us in keeping his memory alive.
Keith’s Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue with Winnipeg Fire Department, Chaplain Mark Young presider. Interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
