It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Hoddinott (68) announce her passing on Wednesday, January 11,2023 at the Western Health Palliative Care Unit, Corner Brook, Nl.
Born in Deer Lake, Nl, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Florence (Harding) Tulk. Joyce loved her family and enjoyed every opportunity to create memories with her three grandchildren. Joyce grew up in Deer Lake, Nl. but her career with the Canadian Armed Forces took her across the country until her retirement in 1997. She loved to travel with her sisters and took many trips over the years. Joyce was an avid reader and loved playing Yahtzee with her sisters over facetime. Joyce is survived by her husband Terry, son Christopher ( Natasha), grandchildren Nathan, Michael and Brook; sisters Geraldine (Nanaimo, B.C.), Linda (Bob) ( Walbush ), Norma (Blair) (Truro , NS), Mavis ( Glenn) ( Chicago, IL ); brother-in-law David (Gander), Ken (Marion) (Howley), Brad ( Deer Lake), and sister-in-law Linda ( Deer Lake ) as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Joyce was predeceased by her brothers Carl and James.
Funeral service will be held at St Paul United Church in Deer Lake on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 2pm. The family would like to thank Dr. J.Kielty as well as Dr. K. Lafferty and her team for the exceptional care Joyce received. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home .

Terry, So saddened to hear of Joyce’s passing. We had several good years as neighbours in Goose Bay and I played more than one game of yatchzee at your table. Many good memories. Sending lots of prayers to you and the family at this time. She will be missed.

Terry and Christopher, so sorry to hear about Joyce's passing. We had so many good times together in GB cross stitching and laughing til we almost cried. I remember how excited she was when I brought Kyle home and the stories she would tell me of Christopher when he was small. She was so proud of him; I can only imagine what a good nan she was to her grandbabies. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
