Amber Franklyn Littrel, 23, of Van Horne, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial: Norway Cemetery, Norway.
Amber is survived by her mother, Donna Jenkins; brothers, Anthony Littrel Jr. and Andrew Littrel; sisters, Alexsy (Joe) Constant and Alice (David) Swift; grandmothers, Diane (Kenny) Bair and RoseAnn Schau; nieces and nephews, Amelia, Sophia, Quinton, and Theodore; uncles, Allan (Cathryn) Schau and Dennis Schau; aunt, Annette Hernandez; and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Amber was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Littrel Sr.; sister, Abigail Littrel; and grandfather, Dennis Schau.
Amber was born on March 23, 2002, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Donna Sue Jenkins and the late Anthony Francis Littrel Sr. She graduated from Benton Community High School in 2020. Known for her kind heart and gentle spirit, Amber will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends.
Amber was a true daddy’s girl. She was incredibly smart, pulling straight A’s throughout school. Her contagious smile, infectious laugh, and witty sense of humor came naturally. She adored her cats, Solo and Sophie, and could navigate every local thrift store like a pro. After much trial and error, she perfected her own personal style—cargo pants and turtlenecks. Her love of pockets inspired her to sew them onto just about anything, from purses to dresses.
Amber’s favorite title was “Aunt Jamboroni” to Q, Teddy, Millie, and Sophia whom she cherished with all her heart. She was a helping hand and a true companion. Gift-giving brought her immense pleasure, and now her joy lives on in others—Amber gave the ultimate gift of life through organ donation. She leaves behind an extraordinary and truly rare legacy. Her memory will live on in every laugh she sparked, in every child she held, and in the lives of those she touched – both known and unknown. We will miss her every day – her voice, her laugh, her energy, her presence.

My condolences to Donna, Alexsy and family. She will be missed, I still remember when her and Alice put makeup on me. It breaks my heart to hear she has passed away at such a young age, her and Abigail will always be in my heart.

I will always remember Amber "living" at our house every summer when she was younger, and all those Saturdays shuffling her off to Cooling Dance with my girls. Although I had not seen her or spoken to her in many years, I will miss her contagious personality greatly. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
