Not sure what to say?

I worked with Amy at Michigans Connections Academy and I was in the lunch room with her the day she got the call that she was a match to donate her kidney to her mother. She immediately started crying tears of joy and apologized for getting so excited. I asked her what the call was about and she told me she was giving her kidney to her mother. I admired her generosity and how obvious it was just how much she loved her mother. She was a sweetheart and will be missed! My thoughts and prayers...

My sincere condolences to Amy's family. I am terribly saddened about our new friend at Prairie Elementary. Even though she was only here for a few months she quickly fit in and we all enjoyed seeing her smiling face each day. I understand the students in her class adored her from the very beginning and formed special relationships. I wish I could see her walk through the school doors again. She was a sweet, dedicated teacher that has left us far too soon and will be missed dearly.

Amy was such a nice child in middle school. I am very saddened by her death, and sorry for your loss. Carole Murphy, Beach Middle School.

Amys love and skill at working with children was very apparent from the first time I saw her as a rehearsal assistant with little children at Youth Dance Theatre. She was so patient and always seemed to be enjoying herself as well as getting the kids to learn and have a good time too.
She danced in many roles for the ballet company and went on to be an active member of the companys board of directors.
Amy, you will be missed in many ways.

She was great in the classes we had together at Olivet College. Her smile and spirit will be missed.

Amy was a student of mine at Olivet College and was a special education major. I also supervised her student teaching. She was an exceptional young lady who became an exceptional teacher of students with special needs. We stayed in touch and would meet for lunch or dinner occasionally. I am truly sorry to hear that she passed away. She touched the lives of many children; they are lucky to have been loved by Amy. I shall miss her. My heartfelt sympathies to her family.

Having fun at the church

Our hearts broke open when we heard the news. I am still in disbelief. Amy was just at our house babysitting this past Friday. Our kids love her as do Mark and I. Our thoughts and prayers are with Amys family (including her pups).
