Carl Andrew “Andy” Thomas, 79, of Corydon, KY, passed away peacefully early the morning of January 6, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.
He was born on April 27, 1946, in Morganfield, KY, to the late Ray and Nolan Thomas.
Andy was a lifelong member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where he regularly volunteered as part of the Men’s Club. He drove a Hostess truck for 30 years and loved to work outside as often as he could. An avid golfer, Andy enjoyed weekly golf outings with his friends. More than anything, though, he loved to spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Nolan Thomas; and his two brothers, Tony Thomas and Joe Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Brenda (Blanford); three children, Andrea (Brian) Alvey, Brian (Mindy), and Casey (Traci); three sisters, Ramona (Dan) Lauterwasser, Yvonne (Tommy) Drury, and Gladelle Hardenbergh; sister-in-law, Mary Ann; seven grandchildren, Darin (Kyle) Lewis, Brett Lewis, Cassidy (Ben) Brumfiel, Collin (Braylynn) Alvey, Rylee Thomas, Paige (Landon) Black, and Garrett Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Evyn & Dean Brumfiel and Drew & Phoebe Lewis, with one more, Halston Black, due in February; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Henderson, KY, with Fr. Larry McBride officiating. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, and from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 12, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11.
Pallbearers will be Keith Blanford, Jim Blanford, Ricky Blanford, Rodney Blanford, Greg Thomas, and Joey Thomas.
