Angela "Cookie" Burdi

1948 - 2023

Angela “Cookie” Burdi, age 74, of Westchester, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023. She was a beloved sister and sister-in-law of Theresa (late Joseph) Balice, Anthony (Rose) Burdi and Vito Burdi and the late Marie Burdi and Michael (Dolly) Burdi, proud aunt of Rita (Bruce) Balice- Gordon, Mary (Michael) Balice Nelligan, Lori (Randall) Balice-Meyer, Ann Burdi Fantuzzi, Joe (Anna) Burdi, Larry (Melissa) Burdi, Angie (Fran) Burdi Trejo and Michelle (Julian) Burdi Saunders, loving great aunt and cousin to many, doting mom to Sydney, her four legged Sheltie companion, and loyal and thoughtful friend to those lucky enough to share her friendship. Cookie was retired from executive assistant positions at Montgomery Ward, SXC and Catamaran. She loved to garden, read and draw and was known to dance a mean Twist. She will be remembered for her unending generosity, spirited storytelling and loyal friendship and will be deeply missed. Visitation Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Road, Western Springs at 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
