Angela M. (Caporaso) Pratt, 79, of Wind Gap, passed away, Sunday, December 14, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter in Pottstown.
Born in Pen Argyl, February 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Mildred (Liberto) Caporaso.
Angela was a 1964 graduate of Pius X High School and received her Associates Degree in Nursing and Education from Northampton Community College.
Prior to retiring, Angela was employed as a nurse for 30 plus years, most of them at Gracedale, Northampton County Home. She was also a certified massage therapist and yoga instructor.
She was a member of LEPOCO, the Red Hat Society and the Slate Belt YMCA, where she was also an instructor.
Angela had many interests that she enjoyed and shared. She was a voracious reader with a love of philosophy and poetry. She had a broad appreciation of art and music from classical piano to anything with a rhythm she could dance to. She lived an active life and enjoyed yoga, walking, riding her bike, and taking car rides especially through the mountains. She was a lifelong advocate of human rights and an animal lover to the core.
Angela found her greatest joy first and foremost in any time spent with family. Whether sharing a meal, playing games, watching movies, talking on the phone, or simply being together, time was a gift of which she gave freely. She loved and was loved deeply, and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by a daughter, Christine A. Caporaso Mondello of Pottstown, a son, Jonah Pratt and his wife Chelsea of Lyndonville, VT, grandsons Martin J. Mondello and Harrison M. Mondello and his fiancee Julianna Giordani, bonus granddaughter Madelaine E. Dear Chrissy and family,
How I loved my cousin Angela. She was always fun to be around, plus she had the world's best laugh, which I can sometimes hear in my head, and will certainly miss. Being just a few years younger, in my then teenage eyes, she was the coolest thing around. Her love for dance certainly rubbed off on me, and Angela teaching me the Cha-cha has to be my absolute favorite memory.
She also loved my brother Patrick (may he rest in peace), as they were slightly closer in age, and both had such adventurous spirits - often trying any and all zany ideas the two of them came up with.
Rest in peace, dearest Angela. You will be missed.
Love, your cousin Cecelia

Dear Christine, Jonah, and Families.
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. She was such a sweet woman whom I usually saw at the hairdresser. She was so warm hearted and kind as we chatted about our kids being classmates and recalling memories. May she rest in peace. Our love and prayers.

Christine, Jonah and family,
I am saddened to hear about your mom´s passing. I did her hair for years at Hair Scene along with you Christine. She had a beautiful soul. I´ll never forget the first time she called me after an appointment. She just wanted to tell me how happy she was with her hair. She said people only call to complain, but she wanted to call with a thank you. I never forgot that. Then when our famous duck, Wally, died.....she set up a memorial on our wall where Wally greeted everyone. A huge heart.....look out heaven here she comes!

My Aunt once said to me..."I am a small town girl". She spent her whole life in the slate belt at the foothills of Blue Ridge and Pocono Mountains. There was nowhere else in the world that she wished to be. She knew the area like the back of her hand as she spent so much of her time walking and biking the back roads of Pen Argyl, Wind Gap and Bangor etc. We talked many times about her idyllic childhood and how much she enjoyed having all of her relatives within a few blocks radius. My brother and I spent countless hours in Pen Argyl as children and many of our most treasured memories are from those days when Angela would spend hours getting us washed and dressed and dolled up to go to the fair at Weona park where we would ride the carousel, play games and eat candied apples and cotton candy.
She had a deep love of poetry and could always come up with just the right quote. She also recommended so many wonderful classic movies to me.
I remember how much she enjoyed teaching the Silver Sneakers yoga class at the Y. She would spend hours working on those routines, but she really loved teaching and her students really loved and appreciated her. And I was also always amazed at how she rode her bike for miles and miles even into her 70s!
I am blessed that she was my aunt and I am grateful for so many cherished memories.
