Ann Branscome Obituary
Ann Bennett Branscome, 93, of Hillsville, VA, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Mrs. Branscome was born June 14, 1932 in Mount Airy, NC to the late Caleb Henderson and Evelyn Tolbert Bennett.
In addition to her parents. she was preceded in death by her brothers, Archie and Jack Bennett, and sister, Betty Bennett Robertson.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, Morris Branscome of Hillsville, VA; son, John Branscome of Washington, DC; son David Branscome and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Richey of Irvine, CA; sister-in-law. Bonnie Bennett of Siloam, NC; nieces Sheree Barnard of Mount Airy, NC, Archer Perkins of Dobson, NC, Caroline Bennett of Galax, VA, Jane Bennett of Siloam, NC, Debbie Blackwell of North Chesterfield, VA, and Cathy Hamm of Oak Ridge, NC; nephew, Steve Woods of Verona, VA; special friend Trish Groseclose of Hillsville, VA; and several great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Morris Family Cemetery, which can be sent to Harold Douglas Snow, 366 Big Red Drive, Hillsville, VA 24343.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel located at 1035 North Main Street, Hillsville, VA. A private funeral will occur at a later date.
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
