Anthony Asaro Obituary

Anthony Asaro, 78, of Yonkers NY, passed away on June 11, 2014

Wake and Prayer services will be held from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM, June 20th at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home, 288 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY 10549.

Anthony was born in Manhattan to Calogero and Maddalena Asaro on 9-21-1935. He graduated from Murray Hill Vocational High School in 1954 with woodworking as his vocation. On the 5th of October 1957, Anthony was united in marriage to Isabella Castracan. Even though the marriage came to an end in1980, he never was able to get over losing such a culinary wizard. To the very end he still had an indelible memory of Isabella?s Pasta al Dente,Pollo al Limone and Frittata. He worked as a carpenter from 1954 to 1994 for several companies in NYC and surrounding areas. He enjoyed boating and shooting, and was an honorary member of the Yonkers Yacht Club and the Ardsley Rifle and Gun Range.

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Angelo, Joseph and Charles.

Anthony is survived by his children, Steven Asaro, Carole Brisbane and son in law David, Ronald Asaro and daughter in law Angela and Robert Asaro and daughter in law Lynn, sister, Marie Evangelista and husband Steve Evangelista. Additionally 5 grandchildren; Danielle Brisbane, Kathryn Asaro, Marissa Brisbane, Amanda Asaro and Nicholas Asaro.If you were thinking of sending flowers, it would be greatly appreciated if you make a donation to Rosary Hill Home in lieu of flowers.
