Not sure what to say?

Fond archery memories with you my friend. So sad to see you gone.

While we are unable to attend Tony's February 7th memorial service, pleas know Darlene, Tammy and Denise, that you are all in our prayers. May God grant you all an extra rich measure of His grace, love, strength, comfort, hope and peace during this very tough time. May you also rejoice in the knowledge that Tony is now more alive than ever in the very presence of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus in heaven; basking in His glory while waiting for your wonderful family reunion to come. In the...

So sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. He was one of the best foundry engineers to work with both as a customer and even better as a co-worker! He helped expand Waupaca’s capabilities in doctor iron over the years. Always loved to hear his stories on fishing, snowmobiling or his projects. One of the few guys I knew that liked PBR! Keeping Darlene and the family in our thoughts and prayers! He’s with alot of great foundrymen at the big foundry in the sky!

Remembering Tony and Darlene for all the New Year's Eves we rang in at your house in Peshtigo

He will be missed by all who knew him. To Darlene andthe family, we are sorry for your loss. Dan and Paulette DeRemer

Great guy, and big supporter of the club. He will be missed.

We will always be grateful to Tony for several things. We looked forward every year to his maple syrup while we appreciated his kindness and the work/time that went into making it. During graduate school for nursing Nancy was doing some clinical hours at the local hospital. After 2 long weeks she was looking forward to going home to her family. But the car wouldn't start. Tony came over with a battery charger and got it going. He told her that if she had further problems she could call...

Darlene, family and friends, we are so saddened to hear about Tony. He will be missed by all who knew him, He always had kind words and good stories to tell. We loved seeing him at our local events and out at the local establishments. Prayers and hugs!

Sympathies to Darlene, family and friends for your tragic loss. Tony was a great guy. We will miss his pontoon "cruise-bys" past our place, with a honk of the horn. RIP, Tony. Dan and Janet

Anthony "Tony" John Seubert

September 4, 1951 ~ January 17, 2026

Age ~ 74

Anthony John Seubert, age 74, of Rhinelander, WI, passed away on Saturday, January 17th in Inver Grove Heights, MN due to a tragic pedestrian vs car accident.

Tony was born on September 4, 1951, in Wausau, WI to John & Joan (Gassner) Seubert. He enjoyed small town life in Marathon, WI, shooting bb guns, fishing and biking with his siblings and friends.

He graduated from Marathon High School in 1969 and then from NCTI two years later with an Associates Degree in Engineering. He worked at Waupaca Foundry in Marinette, WI for 40 years, working his way up to the Mechanical and Engineering Manager position.

Tony married Darlene Boron on May 5th, 1973, and together they shared 51 years of wedded bliss.  They built their own home in Peshtigo and had two daughters.  In 2001 they bought a lake home in Rhinelander.  This “diamond in the rough” was Tony’s fun side project as he and the family fully remodeled and added on to it over the course of 20 years.  All his DIY experiences came in handy.

Tony was a man of many hobbies as he could never sit still.   He was an avid fisher and hunter with several trophy buck mounts and musky photos to prove it.  He taught himself woodworking after retirement and created furniture, cabinets, and drawers for “The Cottage”.  In the winters, he loved snowmobiling with family and friends and would go hundreds of miles. In the spring, the focus switched to making maple syrup out on the land, which he then shared with family and friends.  In the summers, there was UTVing many of those same trails or going for boat rides around the lake, stopping at the sand bar on 5th lake for a break. And let’s not forget about his favorite holiday, the 4th of July!  The Seubert Annual Fireworks extravaganza was an amazing show, shot off the dock over the lake with a fused together grand finale that lasted at least 10 minutes. He would spend all day setting it up with his two son-in-laws.  In the fall, it was time to hunt mushrooms, which he preserved for the year.

In between all his hobbies, he loved to travel.  From road trips in the US, to camping and fishing trips in Canada, to European adventures, to all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, and Caribbean Island stays, he enjoyed being a tourist in a wide variety of ways.  Especially when it came to tracking down a craft beer he’s never had before.  That was the goal of every trip (big or small), to log unique brews in unique places.  In fact, he had 4,601 different beers in all!!    If he was anywhere with a sandy beach on the ocean, he just had to get in and snorkel.  He could tell you the names of all the fish he saw along the way.

To Tony, family and friends were always most important. He took great joy in being present for his loved ones, especially when spending time with his grandchildren. He loved taking them fishing, tubing, and playing a variety of outdoor and card games. He was also the kind of person you could truly rely on; if you ever needed a hand, he was there for you, whether you were his neighbor, family member, or friend. He always had a smile on his face, and his laughter will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Darlene Seubert and his daughters; Tammy (Seubert) & Paul Radtke, Denise (Seubert) & David Pickering; grandchildren Isaac (15) & Carl Radtke (11), Arianna (16) & Kamden (14) Pickering; siblings - Jer & Deb Seubert, Claire & John Blume, and Eric Seubert; and many other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents John & Joan Seubert and his brother Mike Seubert.

The visitiation for Tony will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Mass at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Parish, located at 125 E. King Street, Rhinelander. Fr. Chris Kemp will officiate. A luncheon to follow at Nativity of Our Lord Parish. A celebration of life will be hosted following the services and the luncheon at CT's Deli located at 17N. Brown Street, from 2pm until 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to either the Hodag Sno-Trails or Moen Lake Chain Association in Tony’s memory.

Although he lived a full life, it was cut way too short and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  We wish he could be here for a couple two tree more years.
