Argie Ann Pruitt Gillespie, 80, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at White Oak Manor in Shelby, NC.
Born in Greenville, SC on December 18, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Marvin Smiley Pruitt and Beadie Watson Pruitt.
To honor the life of Argie, the family will hold services privately.

I enjoyed working with Argie at Hilsman Middle School back in the 90's. She was a dear sweet lady, and she and I shared a fondness for Sheltie dogs. She even gave me a surprise gift one Christmas of a sheltie t-shirt!
