Arlene F. (Domkowski) Gnoza, 68, died Thursday, February 22, 2024, in Clinton Hospital, after an illness.
She leaves two children: Anthony Notaro and his wife, Julie, and Tiffany D. (Gnoza) Chase, and her husband, John, all of Clinton; two grandchildren: Raymond and Jake Notaro; two brothers: Stephen P. Domkowski of Santa Rosa, CA, and Mark R. Domkowski of MA; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and partner of 33 years, Michael W. Gnoza, who died in 2016. Three siblings, Edmund F. Domkowski, Mitchell J. Domkowski, and Cheryl A. Burke, predeceased her.
Born in Clinton and raised in Bolton, daughter of the late Stephen Domkowski and Shirley A. (Merrill) Haynes, she was a graduate of Nashoba Regional High School, Class of 1973.
For many years before retirement, Arlene worked as a Dietary Aide in the area, notably at Weetabix, the Clinton Home for the Aged, Coachlace Nursing Home, RFK, and Corcoran House.
A member of the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church, she enjoyed camping, sewing, cooking, gardening, and spending time in the company of family and friends.
Arlene’s family and friends will gather to honor and remember her life during a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton. Inurnment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. A calling hour will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Shelter, Inc., 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
