Arlene A. Vandervest, 87, New Franken died early Saturday morning, October 1, 2016 at Anna's Health Care in New Franken.
She was born October 04, 1928 in Kewaunee to the late Edward A. and Sylvia (Melera) Martin.
On May 02, 1950 Arlene married James E. Vandervest at St. Odile Church, Thiry Daems.
Her enjoyments included crocheting, sewing, painting and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, James and their two children, Terry (Mitch) Ostrenga, Denmark; Chris (special friend, Barb) Vandervest, New Franken; four grandchildren, Mike Ostrenga, Amy Ostrenga, Tina (Andy) Young, Paul Ostrenga; two great-grandchildren, Megan and Macy Young; one brother, Earl (Eleanor) Martin, Luxemburg; one sister, Jean (Norman) Zellner, Luxemburg; brother in law and sister in law, Jenny Vandervest, Green Bay; Elmer Renier, Dyckesville; nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by one son, Joe Vandervest; three brothers in law and three sisters in law, Irwin Vandervest, Merle (Evelyn) Vandervest, Elmer (Florence) Vandervest, Marie Renier.
Friends may call 9:00 to 10:45 am, Tuesday, October 04, 2016 at St. Joseph Church, Champion.
Funeral 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Father John Broussard officiating.
Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Champion.
