Armeeta's Obituary

Armeeta “Tooter” Jane Oldaker passed away on, January 5, 2026, in Midland, TX surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born in Lubbock, TX on June 22, 1936.  On April 5, 1953 she married Jerry Oldaker, the young man who used to come into her parent’s grocery store.   They were married 66 years before his passing in March 2020.  Together they had 6 children.  Early in their marriage they lived in New Mexico, Nebraska, El Paso and settled in Midland, Texas.  She and Dad enjoyed frequent trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin and going to Houston Astros games.   She worked at O’Neil Grocery for 17 years before retiring.  The Saturday before Mother’s Day would find the family in their front yard surrounded by grandkids and great grandkids potting flowers for their moms.  She was a loving wife, and amazing mom who wasn’t afraid to take on anyone she thought was mistreating her kids.  She will be greatly missed.  Left to cherish her memory are daughter Pam O’Neil (Lynn), son Wayne Oldaker (Rickie), daughter Vickey Brewer (Dennis), 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, son Jerry Louis Oldaker, Jr., daughter Sharon Oldaker, daughter Jarene Howard, 2 brothers and 1 sister.   We would like to thank the amazing nurses and staff of Hospice of Midland for their compassion and encouragement during this time.  The family will have a private burial.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to  Hospice of Midland at hospiceofmidland.org.
