Passed away unexpectedly, on January 29, 2022. Arthur was born on May 10, 1962 to Arthur Sr. and Tollie (Johnson) Sharpe in Montgomery, Alabama. Arthur graduated from Grand Ledge High School and then attended Michigan State University where he earned his Associates Degree is Agricultural Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. After graduation he began his loyal and dedicated career with General Motors. He was a proud and present father to his son Alex who was his little buddy. Growing up he took Alex everywhere with him proudly on his shoulders. They loved golfing and playing tennis together and competing in any pinball game, Arthur was always the reigning champion. He was known to be out Cruising in his Z06, reading and collecting books, and loved watching Nascar. He was an avid MSU fan and a strong and competitive powerlifter. He helped the girl scouts delivering cookies and always had a few boxes of thin mints to keep around. Arthur was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone he could. His jokes and laugh will be missed by all who knew him. Arthur’s mother Tollie welcomed him at the Heavenly gates. He is survived by his little polar bear cub his son, Alexander (RaeAnna Asbury) Sharpe; his loving father, Arthur Sharpe Sr.; his brothers and sister, Alvin (Kim) Sharpe, Allen Sharpe, Antonio Sharpe, and Angela Sharpe-Parker; special brother, Randy Johnson; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Roy) Ozier, Danielle Parker, Alvin II ( Alyssa) Sharpe, Alysse Sharpe, Alana (Immanuel) Vaughn-Burtley, Angelo Sharpe, and Melana Sharpe. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw Hwy, Lansing. What wonderful person. Spent time visiting with Art, my daughter RaeAnna and his son Alex. Most enjoyable conversations. I would have loved spending more time visiting and sharing life's experiences. May God bless the family and all your friends and coworkers. Left us much too soon and will be dearly missed.

Arthur is a person that has made a significant impact in many lives. The world will be a little diminished by his going to be with our Lord and Savior. But I am sure there will be joy in heaven as he joins other loved ones and friends that have preceded him.
I would have loved to have had coffee and heard about his life and experienced his sense of humor.
My prayers are with his loved ones.
In His name.

Art, your exuberance and zest for life and hard work were commendable. Our many conversations and shared interests in Corvettes will be missed as well as the many Corvette magazines you shared with me. I know you're "learning about the equipment, boss" like you reminded me almost daily. This is a tough one my friend! You will be greatly missed! Rest in peace! Prayers for Comfort and Peace to you and your family.

I went to the same high school as Art. Then many years later I went to work for GM and saw Arthur there also. He was a great guy and will be missed terribly by so many.
