Audrey Bragstad

1929 - 2016

Audrey R Bragstad, 86, of Baxter, MN, passed away Saturday February 20, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital of a brain aneurism.

Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday March 19, 2016 at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd at 1:00PM. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church.

Audrey was born October 21, 1929 north of Big Lake on her grandparent's farm.

She lived in Minneapolis and moved to Brainerd in the 1940's. Audrey graduated from Brainerd High School in 1949. January 14, 1950 she married S. Bruce Everhart and they resided in Pequot Lakes until his death in 1958. December 19, 1959 she married Alfred Bragstad and continued to live in Pequot Lakes where she raised her 5 children.

Audrey was a gentle kind lady with many talents. She was an exceptional cook, seamstress, painter, knitter & quilter. She was proud to be a "Forever Miss Brainerd" (1949) and she was a friend to everyone. She loved to keep her hands busy creating; but her greatest joy was gathering with her family and sharing in love, laughter and food.

Audrey is survived by her children, Leslie B (Mary Ellen) Everhart, Lonni L (Chuck) Isackson, Laurie S (Allen) Hall, Lisa A (Ward) Brooks, Lance M (Robyn) Bragstad; her grandchildren, Nicole (Kyle), Nicholas, Natalie, Andrew (Emily), Aaron (Kelly), Ashley (Craig), Tayler (Dylan), Anna (Randy), Bethany (Morgan), Chase, Stephanie (Matt), Abbie (Luke), Lance (Corin), Brenda (Paul), Val (Travis), Melissa (Caleb), Amy, Katie (Bruce), Neal (Jenny) and 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Terry Moores; many wonderful friends and her Northern Lakes Apartment Family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Terry S. & Alice (Johnson) Moores; her husbands, Bruce and Alfred; step-mother, Evelyn Boardman.

Memorials are preferred to Breast Cancer Research or American Diabetes Assn.
