Not sure what to say?

Mike, Angie and Jerry,
My deepest sympathies at the passing of your grandmother. I used to work with her when we both worked at Litton Microwave. And then when your mom used to babysit my daughters I found out that she was related to you. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Audrey's Obituary

Audrey Weidenbach, age 94, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, following complications of dementia. She was born on May 26, 1931, and lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and a genuine love for people.

Funeral services will take place at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with a lunch to follow.  Burial will be prior to the funeral at Wild Wood Cemetery in Salem, SD.

Audrey was born to Lewis and Melba Keysor in Salem, SD and was a proud graduate of Salem High School and a faithful member of the Lutheran Church throughout her life. She was known for her strong work ethic and her gift for hospitality, spending many years as a beloved waitress. Audrey truly loved her customers and formed friendships wherever she worked, including Pizza Palace and Minnehaha Country Club.

In her later years, Audrey continued serving others as a senior companion, offering help, friendship, and encouragement to many—often to people younger than herself. Helping others came naturally to her; if she thought someone needed a hand, she gave it freely.

Audrey had a joyful spirit and a wide range of interests. She loved rummage sales and could never pass one up, enjoyed reading, and was very social, easily striking up conversations with people from all walks of life. She found happiness in flower gardening, dancing, and artistic pursuits. Music brought her great joy, and her taste spanned many genres—from the country sounds of Willie Nelson to the timeless music of the Beatles and even Elvis.

She also cherished life’s simple pleasures—coffee, ice cream (even for breakfast), and time spent with others. Known for her sense of style, Audrey was always dressed as if she were heading out on the town. She enjoyed having her hair done, loved a new pair of shoes, and took pride in her appearance.

Audrey is survived by her children: Gloria’s children Michael, Angie, and Jerry; Terry (Bo Yung) Janisch of Olympia, Washington, with children Tran Chau, Kevin, Kenneth, Teresa, Tiffany, and Yagie; Georgia (John) Henle of Pine Haven, Wyoming, with children Nicole and Christopher; Russell Adamson of Pine Haven, Wyoming; and Thomas Adamson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with children Seth, Kasey, and Kerrie.

She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Melba (Edgar) Keysor and Lewis Keysor and her brother Lester (Mary) Keysor and her sister Joy (Calvin) Janssen; and her daughter Gloria (Mike) Schryver.

Audrey will be remembered as a very kind, loving, and generous woman who shared freely with others and found joy in everyday moments. Her warmth, style, and compassion will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Funeral services will take place at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with a lunch to follow.  Burial will be prior to the funeral at Wild Wood Cemetery in Salem, SD.
