Barbara Fransioli Obituary

Barbara Fransioli was born on August 20, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to Frank and Bernice Fransioli, both who preceded her in death.  Barb, is survived by her dearly loved daughter, Jyl Fransioli:  She is also survived by her big sister, Kathleen (Ron) Erdelac and her little brothers, Frank (Eileen McGinnity) Fransioli and Bob (Sandra Kannady) Fransioli.   She has several nieces and nephews and 1 great niece and 3 great nephews.

Barb had a fabulous group of friends who enjoyed her “Barbisms”, her silly wit and fun-loving attitude toward life.  Everyone had a good time when Barb was in their midst.  She will be greatly missed by her numerous friends!

During her nursing career, Barb held several different positions  ... VNA, Broadway Methodist,

and Southlake Mental Health.  In addition, Barb always looked forward to summer because she REALLY loved her IWLA youth camp family.

I just heard several days ago about our dear cousin Barbara's passing and want to share my heartfelt condolences to her daughter, siblings and so many friends and associates who knew her. I fondly recall the many family gatherings of our youth and Barbara's bright and loving personality. Surely, she is in the warm embrace of God, her parents and loved ones. May God bless Jyl, and cousins Kathleen, Frank and Bobby.

Barb- you were such a great friend to several of the people I love the very most in this world, including my own mother, brother, aunt and uncle. You were the rare type of friend that becomes an integral part of the family that we can't imagine gathering without. There are really no words to express how much I appreciate you having been such a beacon of light for them and enriching their lives so much. I, too, am going to deeply miss your presence at any family get together. Rummy isn't the most exciting game, but it's one that you always suggested we play when I was around because you knew I didn't know much else but liked to be included. I'm going to miss being constantly reminded to keep my cards where you can see them, having someone as patient as you teach me a new game, and how you ALWAYS hoarded the aces. We didn't have enough mom/daughter double dates in Chicago. You were taken from us much too soon Barbie. You will be missed. Thank you for the time you gave us.

I was so shocked and sorry to hear about Barb's passing. I enjoyed seeing Barb all summer long when I mowed her lawn the past 15 years. I am really going to miss her asking " Can you pick me up a fish sandwich?" when I would call and tell her I was on my way to her house. Barb was always such a positive person with a great sense of humor. My life was so much richer having her as my friend.

We met when I was a nurse extern at Methodist, early 90s. You worked with a friend of mine on 5W2. Later, you were my supervisor at VNA. You called me into your office and asked If I would be interested in IWLA camp. I remember my first year was Jyls first year as a camper. I went for 15 years!!! I brought friends and family at different times. Ohhh the memories we made. Experiences I wouldnt have had without you reaching out.
We stayed in touch through the years, working union picnics or just playing cards, dice and dominos. I will always think of you and smile. You helped me take life lighter and I will always be thankful.
I lift your family up in prayer at this time. So long til we meet again my friend.

I was sad to hear about the passing of my cousin Barb Fransioli. She was a sweet person who accomplished so much in life and always had a smile. I appreciate the respect that she had for my Mom, Bea McDevitt, who she visited in the recent past with Kathleen. I know that Uncle Dick was right there at the pearly gates to welcome Barb and make her laugh. Condolences to cousins Kathleen, Frank, Bob and their families.

My heart is broken. I went to nursing school with Barb(Motz- as we called her-why I don't know!), partied with her, vacationed with her and worked with her at the clinic and she was in my wedding! I'm sorry for your loss, Jyl. May she Rest In Peace.
