Barbara will never be forgotten in our house. She was a beautiful woman with an even more beautiful soul. In her later years, we used to talk all the time. She was like my own Mother, and she exuded love. A true Renaissance woman who did so many things well, I will always remember the love and kindness she had for others. MarySandra and I pray for Barbara and Pinky every day when we say grace. I think Barbara is probably most proud of the great family she and Pinky raised. Her soul lives on in them. Because of the Sacrifice of the Savior, Jesus Christ, we will see this wonderful woman again. May Our Lady, Notre Dame, watch over her, and keep those who love her safe always. It's hard to believe that Barbara has been gone for 8 years. She was like my own Mother, and we often talked. I loved her like my own Mother because she was kind, comforting, and just a great example of a good Christian. We made a pact that we would pray for each other's families. To this day, we pray every day for Pinky and Barbara and the great family they raised. They're an extension of our own family. May the Living God continue to inspire us through their example. We send our love and prayers to the entire O'Toole Family, and remember Barbara and Pinky for their love and kindness. They live in our hearts, and we will see them again, in Christ. I still miss Barbara. She was like my own Mother, always comforting and wise. We pray for Barbara and "Pinky", her husband, every single day when we say grace before dinner. Good people like these are not forgotten in our house. May the Blessed Mother keep them safe in the heavenly Kingdom, and may the Lord God bless their family always! To All the O'Tooles,
Wonderful thoughts of Barbara come back each Christmas season, treasuring each of her Christmas ornaments as they are placed on our tree. Our hearts will always hold warm memories of laughter and fun times with her on the Cape and visiting in Clinton. She was a caring and special lady loved by us all. May she and your father be at peace in heaven smiling and sending their love to you all at Christmas.

Barbara was like my own mother. I re-read her obituary today and agree that she was truly a real Renaissance woman, a woman for all seasons. Her artistry was not just in her art; it was in her words, too, which had a way of healing and comforting others. I promised Barbara I would always pray for her grandson, Colin, whenever I prayed for my own late son, Dan. I keep that promise to this day. I'm not surprised her kids turned out so fine. Having parents like Barbara and Pinky was a huge blessing. Marty and I have been close friends since high school, and we were deeply moved when Kathy and Brendan showed up for Dan's memorial service, along with Marty and Betsy. Barbara's love lives on in all of them. I will never forget her goodness, and her devotion to the Blessed Mother. God's blessings on Barbara and Pinky and all her wonderful family! Our prayers go out to the entire O'Toole family.
I was always so amazed that no matter how long it had been since we'd last seen Mrs. O'Toole she would always ask how Sam was doing and always remembered his name, how old he was and the sports and activities he was in! She was an amazing woman. Rest in Peace.

Barbara was like amother to me, and I enjoyed calling her. She was always encouraging, and a devotee of the Rosary. I am sure the Blessed Mother was there to bring her safely home to the Kingdom of eternal joy. We are praying for her entire family. Sacred Scripture says it best: "...and on that day, we shall see You, our God, as You really are. You will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death, nor pain, nor suffering for the old order will have passed away...". May the God of eternal love bring Barbara safely home. All our love and prayers, Steve and MarySandra Foster, Friendswood, Texas

Kathy, Marty, Terry, Tim, Barb and all of your spouses and families,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother (grandmother, great-grandmother),whose beautiful smile and contagious laughter I enjoyed for decades at the Cape when visiting her and you while at my folks' home. The memories of good times and laughter are endless. She was a true matriarch and always treated us like she was our mother, too, and my kids still call her "Nana Barbara" to this day. Truly, she will be missed, such a special lady, but I am sure your father and Colin have already wrapped their arms around her in eternal peace and love with her Lord in heaven.
Love,

Dear O'Toole cousins and families,
My sincere sympathy on the loss of Aunt
Barbara, she lead a full life, raised an amazing family and loved everyone and made them always feel welcome. Little did I know in early December that her Christmas card would be the last one. She will be missed, may she rest eternally with Uncle Pinky and all those she loved during her life that preceded her to heaven where there is only joy and peace. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as we say so long to a very good soul.
Love,
Mary Eley
