Memorial services for Barry Stephen Stewart, age 56 of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville, TN. Pastor Dr. Jimmie Simpson will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time.
Barry passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at his home.
He was born on November 4, 1969, in Cookeville to Robert Stewart and the late Brenda Stewart. Barry was of the Baptist faith.
He worked as a custom fireplace installer & technician for over 25 years out of Nashville & surrounding areas. Barry loved football and enjoyed taking his jeep mudding. He loved hunting, fishing, and boating. In his younger years he loved cruising to different countries with his mom and dad.
He is survived by his dad Robert (Sandra R), brothers: Brian (Angie), Ben (Alex), several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by ex-wife Tracey Stewart and her son Dalton Raymer.
He was preceded in death by his mother Brenda Stewart, grandparents Willie & Eula Stewart, Henry & Inez Jackson, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

My thoughts and prayers are with Bob and the family today. The Psalmist David spoke , Ye though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. We merely walk, we dont run in fear, for death is just a shadow. And a shadow can cause no harm. The Shepherds rod provides protection, His shaft stability and His presence overwhelming peace calm and joy . As we walk from this short life to an eternal one. We don't have to say goodbye, just so long for now. Until we meet again. Love and prayers.

I remember Brian as.a young boy growing up in his home. His mother and father gifted him with love Security and a life that he loved my thoughts and prayers are with his family and hope they can remember all the good times they had with him.
