Beatrice A. (LaRoche) Panto, 101, passed away Sunday Sept 21, 2025 with her daughters by her side. She was born on Dec. 7, 1923 to the late Alcide and Ida (LaRoche) Disotell. Bea was a member of the former St. Ann’s Church in West Springfield and St. Thomas the Apostle Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking and took great pride in preparing meals for her family, especially around the holidays. Bea and her late husband Dominick enjoyed camping with their trailer and were members of the Tobacco Valley, Chapter 72, based out of Connecticut. They also belonged to several dancing groups, both square and round dancing and collected various badges for dancing in different locations. She also enjoyed making her own dresses for the dances. Bea was predeceased by Dominick in Sept. of 1999 and her son Ronald Panto in 2020. She leaves her loving daughters; Janice Steinbock of Easthampton, Carole Hayes and her husband Thomas of Brattleboro, VT and Debra Curran and her husband Kenneth of W. Spfld., her daughter-in-law Luz Panto of Lancaster, CA., along with 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her great grandson Theodore “Teddy” Midura and her sisters, Aurore Craig and Ruth Martone. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held TUES Sept 30, 2025 at 11 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine St., W. Spfld. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Kings Hwy, W. Spfld. Calling Hours will be held MON from 4 to 7PM at the CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 MAIN ST., W. SPFLD. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Bea’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
