Berry B. Coffin, 92, passed away on March 21, 2026, at his home in Richland, Georgia He was born on July 21, 1933, in Montville, Maine, to the late Eaden B. Coffin and Clyde M. Bridges Coffin.
Berry is preceded in death by both of his parents, his beloved wife, Lillian V. Coffin and a brother, Nandan Mosher.
He is survived by six sons, Daniel Moody, Eric Foster, Don Coffin, Vince Coffin, Vance Coffin and Harry Coffin; three daughters, Denise Holland, Kenla Holmes, Kim Coffin Berringer; a brother, Ralph Mosher; a sister, Leihia Donner Thorndike; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a very loyal assistant, Marcus.
Berry and Lillian moved to Richland, Georgia in 1995 from Cusseta, Georgia and were members of Red Hill Baptist Church. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion. Berry drove the Southland School bus for many years. He retired from driving a semi truck.
Berry was a Army Veteran.
Berry would tell the story that he had never gotten a traffic ticket but only God knows how many states he had received a fishing with no license ticket! Berry loved fishing no matter where he was visiting or driving through states. He always carried a fishing rod and tacklebox in the truck with him. He stopped dozens of times to try out a creek or stream and been caught! Berry was a member of the Cusseta Bass Club. He loved catfishing!
He had a deep love for antiques and loved looking for antiques stores when he was younger and in better health. He would visit the funeral home and Lewis to see his Bennington Pottery collection. He brought over many various antiques that he found on his adventures. He loved Coca-Cola items. He and Frankie Murrah found many items that they resold. Berry had a shop in downtown Richland where he stored and sold his antiques. He was an avid Ebay buyer and seller.
