Betty J. Moore

1937 - 2025

Betty J. Moore of Burton age 88 died Wednesday December 17, 2025 at Hurley Medical Center. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Davison Eagles #3589, with inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery with her husband in the spring of 2026.

Betty was born in Port Huron, Michigan on July 5, 1937 the daughter of the late Lloyd and Irene (Kota) Willert and resided in the Davison Burton area for many years. She was joined in marriage to David Moore on September 17, 2008 and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2025. For many years, Betty was a familiar and welcoming face behind the bar. She held the distinct honor of being the very first bartender at the Davison Eagles, where she didn’t just serve drinks-she built friendships and a sense of community. She was as competitive as she was social. A skilled player, she spent years playing 5-woman pool, a passion that took her all the way to the bright lights of Las Vegas to compete. Betty was an avid traveler alongside her husband,  where they explored the world,though she always had a soft spot for the excitement of the casino and the quiet peace of her garden.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory son: Russ (Michelle) McComb; grandson: Brandon McComb and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her son: Bob McComb in 2018; sisters: Judy McComb and Marge Tosch. Please share your condolences at www.HansenFuneralHome.net
