Bobby Wells Obituary

Bobby Lee Wells, 80, of North Creek Rd., Appomattox, died peacefully Tuesday, March 18, 2014. at the home of his niece, Sheila Ramsey Woody in Madison Heights.He was the husband of the late Edith Woodruff Wells.


 


Born in Shipman, VA, on October 10, 1933, he was a son of the late Sadie Goolsby and George Walker Wells. He was a retired roofing contractor.


 


He is survived by a brother, Warren Wells and wife, Dee of Schuyler and a sister, Doris Dowdy of Lynchburg.


 


He was preceded in death by three brothers, George (Buck) Wells, Winfred Wells, and Estes (Jimmy) Wells; three sisters, Virginia Davis, Theo White, and Sally Ramsey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation  to Sheila Woody and her family and to Centra Hospice for their loving care of Bobby during his illness.


 


A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. David Heerspink. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park at 12:45 p.m.


 


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence.

UNCLE BOBBY - IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER WITH US. BUT AFTER A LONG WHILE OF SUFFERING GOD MUST HAVE THOUGHT IT WAS TIME TO GIVE YOU PEACE, AND FOR YOU TO JOIN YOUR FAMILY THAT HAD ALREADY PASSED BEFORE YOU. I KNOW YOU LIVED LIFE TO THE FULLEST AND ENJOYED YOUR TIME HERE ON EARTH, YOU WILL BE MISSED BY MANY BECAUSE OF THE JOY YOU BOUGHT TO THE PEOPLE YOU WERE AROUND WHILE ON THIS EARTH. BOBBY YOU WILL ALWAYS BE RESPECTED FOR THE WAY YOU CHOSE TO LIVE YOUR LIFE THE WAY YOU WANTED AND FOR THE LOVE THAT YOU GAVE TO THE ENTIRE FAMILY.
