Bonnie L. Ripple, a beloved aunt, devoted partner, cherished friend, and accomplished professional, passed away on September 30, 2025. Born in Ohio on February 13, 1945, Bonnie spent her adult life in California, where she built a successful career, cultivated deep friendships, and lived a life rich with passion and purpose.
Bonnie excelled professionally as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), but her life was defined by far more than her career. She shared a loving life partnership with Lorri Painter, who preceded her in death, and together they created a home filled with love and laughter, marked by close friendships, strong ties to family, and many shared passions including music, movies, golf, puzzles, games and collecting.
Bonnie was a unique and magnetic spirit. Described by all who knew her as feisty and kind. She approached life with an adventurous streak and a mechanical aptitude that made her a brilliant problem-solver and an avid collector. Her devotion to others manifested in her role as a loving caretaker—always ready to host a party, offer support, or lend a truly capable hand.
Bonnie held a special place in her heart for the animals in her life, including her bird Chuck, the hummingbirds that visited her home feeders, and the cats with whom she shared her life – in particular Albert and Sarah, her regal and beloved British Blues.
Bonnie's memory will be forever treasured by her loving family, including the Ripples (Stephanie Ripple, Kenny Mack, Sarah Mack, Noah Mack, Paul Ripple, Bonnie Ripple [Paul’s wife], Teresa Glapert, Stephen Ripple, Morgan Ripple, and Wyatt Ripple), the Painters (Jill Painter, Kim O'Farrell Neumann, Eric Neumann, Ryan Neumann, Nathan Neumann, Alex Gildroy, Joe Painter, Lee Painter, Jenn Painter, Justin Helm, Eliot Helm, Evan Painter, Alissa Renning, Sandi Painter, Anthony Edwards, Averyl Edwards, Josh Kennedy, Addison Edwards, Wid Painter, Marie Painter, and Patty, Christopher, Ian, and Timothy Painter-Wakefield), and her closest friends, who were the family she chose (Kelly Endres, Shawn McMillan, Heidi Li, Sneha Oberi, Carla Medina, and Deb Neuman), and many other dear friends.
We loved Bonnie dearly and will miss her madly. The vibrant mark she left on the world—a mix of feisty independence, mechanical ingenuity, and unwavering love—will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Family and friends will be gathering for a celebration of Bonnie's life on October 25, 2025. Please contact the family for details.
