Bonnie Slagle

1943 - 2022

Bonnie Mae Slagle, age 78 of Bronston, departed this life on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at her home surrounded by family.

Bonnie was born on July 10, 1943 in Keno, KY to the late Pat and Ollie Wilson Dobbs. She was a former employee of Walmart and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bronston, KY for most of her life. Bonnie enjoyed singing. She had a green thumb when it came to gardening and she loved her flowers as well.

She is survived by one daughter, Jody Lynn (Darrell) Blevins of Bronston, KY; one son, Robert Gene Slagle of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Justin (Sonya) Howard; Rocky Howard; Hannah (Cody) Neal; and Jason (Sherilyn) Slagle; four great-grandchildren, Henry Howard, Annabeth Rose Neal, Brooklyn Neal and Clay Slagle; one brother, Edwin Dobbs of McCreary County, KY; and one sister, Ruth Huter of Goshen, OH.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Gene Slagle, of who she married on May 1, 1962 in Jellico, TN and he preceded her on February 27, 2018; two grandchildren, Robbie Slagle and Emily Ann Blevins; two sisters, Lucille Amick and Lillian Titloff; and six brothers, Hulen, Harold, Richard, Howard, Willis, and Hollis Dobbs.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow on Monday at 2:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Hall and Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating. Burial will be at Bronston Cemetery.
