John F. Wehneman

VERSAILLES — John F. Wehneman, age 79, of Versailles, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020, 5:15 p.m., at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.

John was born December 4, 1940, in Darke County, to the late Everett and Esther (Worch) Wehneman.

John is survived by his twin sister, Mary E. Wehneman of Greenville.

John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Hague Quality Water in Greenville in 2002 with 42 years of service and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles, Versailles American Legion, and the Gettysburg Masonic Lodge #477 F & AM.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 4, 2020, 2 p.m., at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles, with Pastor Ippy Mwakabonga officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be held Friday, from 12 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Full military honors will be conducted by the Versailles Veteran's Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles.
