Brandon White Vanderburg, 49, of Spearman, Texas passed away Friday, January 23, 2026 in Spearman. Viewing will be Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Church of Christ in Spearman, Texas, officiated by John Scott. Cremation arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Spearman, Texas.
Brandon was born on April 8, 1976 in Perryton, Texas. He was raised in Spearman and graduated from Spearman High School in 1994. He was an outstanding athlete and received numerous awards. He showed all types of livestock and exhibited the Grand Champion steer in El Paso, Texas. He was a very talented musician and learned how to play a variety of instruments, but he enjoyed the guitar the most. He was a master of all trades, could fix anything, cook anything, and was an exceptional chef. Brandon was the best big brother and friend. He had a magnetic personality and enjoyed playing pranks on others. He never met a stranger.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Kim and Joe Vanderburg; three brothers, Clancy Vanderburg and wife Chelsea of Spearman, Clayton Vanderburg and wife Kelcey of San Angelo, Texas, and Clete Vanderburg and wife Ashley of McGregor, Texas; one sister, Britta Vanderburg of Amarillo, Texas; his grandfather Herman Boone of Miami, Texas; his six nieces and nephews, Carter, Cannyn, Slade, Quinn, Brecklynn and Ryker; his step-mother Tammy White of Fritch, Texas; three half-brothers, Rance White, Hobbs Margaret, and Dalton Jenkins; one half-sister, Christa Wall; three step-children, Kenzy, Tristen and Conner; his friend, Misty; his dog and best bud Tripp; aunts and uncles Sam and Margie, Davida and David, Ernie and Sylvia, Dee and Lisa, Marsha, Yavonne; and several cousins.
Brandon was preceded in death by his biological father, Chris White; his maternal grandmother, Beverly Boone; his paternal grandparents Ellzey and Charlotte Vanderburg; and his paternal grandparents, Kiffie and Nell White.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be to the Spearman Athletic Booster Club or one’s favorite charity.

We loved Brandon from the first time we met him at Joe & Kim’s wedding. He always was a cutie and very easy to love. He had a strong work ethic, very outgoing and easy to like. He took good care of his siblings and his parents. The whole family was so proud the day he became a Vanderburg!
