Brenda Reed Gritton, 80, widow of Bobby Joe Gritton, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Brenda was born August 5, 1945, in Anderson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Estill Reed and Elizabeth Hutton Reed.

Brenda is survived by her two children, Lisa Gritton Snider and husband Joel Snider, and Brent Wade Gritton and wife Amanda Shrout Gritton; and three granddaughters, Brooke Snider, Gracie Snider, and Allie Gritton. In addition to her husband of 54 years, Bobby Joe Gritton, she was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Brian Wade Gritton.

Brenda was a 1963 graduate of Anderson County High School and a 1964 graduate of Bryant & Stratton College, where she studied Business and Accounting. She retired from Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, where she worked in the Accounting Department for over 44 years. Even after retirement, Brenda continued working part-time at Wild Turkey Distillery and cherished the friendships she made there.

Brenda had a love for travel and enjoyed exploring new places with her friends and family, often checking destinations off her bucket list. She especially loved cruises and tour bus trips around the world. She was a devoted member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where she faithfully served by helping with bereavement meals, attending Sunday School, being a member of The Christian Workers Circle, and participating in the Wandering Disciples group. In her free time, Brenda enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and cheering on the CATS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at First Christian Church, 300 S. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., and again on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church. 

Memorial contributions in memory of Brenda are suggested to First Christian Church, Memorial Fund, 300 S. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky 40342.
