Brenda Hayes Obituary
Brenda Joyce McCune Hayes, 69, formerly of Manassas, VA, and more recently of 388 Chinquapin Road, Tyner, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in her home.
Mrs. Hayes was born in Clay County, West Virginia on July 21, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Arvin Mason Eskridge and Eveylyn Virginia McCune. A retired electronics assembler, she was the wife of the late Dana George Hayes.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Lynn Hayes, and by her son, Derrick Palmer.
Surviving are three daughters, Tammie Hayes of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Dana Georgianna Hayes of Edenton, and Kelly Palmer of Tyner; a sister, Betty Eskridge Fisher of West Virginia; two brothers, Billie Eskridge of Butner, NC and Larry Eskridge of Catlett, VA; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by the Rev. Jay Rivenbark. Inurnment will follow at a later time in the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
