Bridget G. Borton of Fenton, formerly of Otisville, age 91 died Tuesday June 29, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Wednesday July 7, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant, burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Bridget will lie in state at the church from 11:00 am Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in her memory to Adopt a Pet or Genesee County Humane Society.
Bridget was born in Chicago Illinois on November 5, 1929 the daughter of the late Bryan and Josephine (Nolan) Kennedy and has resided in the Fenton area the last seven years and Otisville for over twenty five years. She was joined in marriage to James A. Borton on April 22, 1951 and he preceded her in death on February 20, 1991. She graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and had been employed by Flint General Hospital for over twenty-five years retiring as Director of Nursing in 1976.
Surviving is son Danny and wife Susan Borton of Linden, daughters: Ann and husband Joseph Brabbs of Winter Garden Fla, and Susan and husband Steve Richardson of Las Vegas Nevada. She also leaves her loving eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She also is survived by cousin Joan Maccario of Alden Pa. and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by son Dennis Borton, sisters: Josephine Hubona, Theresa Tomasek, Mary Zwiebel, Judy Michalek, brother Patrick Kennedy and cousin Fr. John McNamara.
