Brigitte Else Mast, 70, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Services will be at a later date. Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Brigitte was born on April 21, 1947 in Gloggnitz, Austria, the daughter of Else (Margrunder) Kernbeis and stepdaughter of Karl Braun. She married Earl H. Mast on April 6, 1968. Brigitte retired in 2005 from Kroger where she worked in the bakery and deli departments. She enjoyed camping and cooking.

Brigitte is survived by her husband: Earl H. Mast of Mt. Zion, IL; sons: Kevin (Kelly) Mast of Pleasanton, CA and Brian Mast of Decatur, IL; sisters: Renate Trussel of Mt. Zion, IL and Monica Neubauer of Neureut, Germany; grandchildren: Jordan, Jeremy, Hunter and Brady.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Doris Kirk.
