Bruce Morden Blumrick of Newfane passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Center after a short illness. Bruce was born in Olcott, NY, the son of William and Almeda Blumrick. He married Janice Bradley of Olcott on October 11, 1952 at the Olcott Methodist Church. After spending 2 years in the Army, Bruce and Janice built a home in Newfane where they resided all their 63 years of married life. Following his retirement from Harrison Radiator in 1990 after 40 years as a group leader in the Model Department, Bruce spent many hours landscaping his yard, doing crossword puzzles and following the Yankees on TV. He was the head usher at Faith Lutheran Church for over 30 years and served on many committees there. Son of the late William and Almeda Morden Blumrick. Father of Wayne (Carol) Blumrick of Middleport, NY and Darryl (Donna) Blumrick. Brother of the late William Blumrick and Audrey Walker. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on THURSDAY 4 - 7PM where funeral services will be held on FRIDAY at 11AM. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery. Memorials to Miller Hose Fire Co. PO Box 99 Newfane, NY 14108 or a charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
