Byron Cook Obituary
Byron was born August 25, 1948 in Sherman, TX. He graduated from Texas High School in 1966, was a retired millwright from Cooper Tire, was an avid hunter and fisherman, coached softball, served on the Red Lick School Board for seven years and was a member of Hampton Road Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ewell Finis and Mary Belle Cook and Baby Girl Cook.
Bryon is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Diane Turnage Cook of Texarkana, TX; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brian and Jennifer Odle of North Little Rock, AR, Justin and Melissa Wiencek of Scott, AR and Ryan and Melanie Ritchie of Maumelle, AR; one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and David Majors of Maud, TX and he will be forever missed by his six grandchildren, Madelyn and Amelia Odle, Aaron and Andrew Wieneck and Hudson and Lexi Ritchie and numerous other family and friends.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Monholland officiating. Burial will follow at East Memorial Gardens under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, TX.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Friday, August 5, 2011 at the funeral home.

Diane and family - Our heart aches for your loss of Byron. He was a wonderful man, father, grandfather and husband. He will be deeply missed. The service was very warm and loving. Jennifer, you are quite the strong young woman! Bless you all and may God wrap His loving arms around you all during this time of grief. I am soooo very sorry for your loss! I was fortunate enough to have met Mr. Cook on a few occasions and in the little time I spent with him it was very obvious what a sweet man he was and how very much he loved his family! You could tell he just adored spending time with his daughters/son-in-laws and grandchildren and his face just lit up whenever his wife walked in the room! My thoughts are with you all!
