MUNERLYN, Mr. Calvin James "Duper"-age 43, of Flint, passed away Friday, May 1, 2020 at Hurley Medical Center. Calling hours are 1:00pm - 6:00pm Friday, May 8, 2020 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507.
In efforts to abide by and adhere to social distancing guidelines, the maximum number of visitors allowed at one time will be limited to 10. Please be considerate of others and their wishes to pay their respects as well. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this trying time.

Duper you will be truly missed. Your bright smile and dedication to the community at Berston Field House will be missed. Lisa, BeBe, and I will will miss you coming in and telling us to get in 100 sit-ups with your machine. The guys in the weight room will miss you pushing them to do more. Words seem so inadequate to express the sadness we feel about Duper's death. Every time I would go into the store, I'd hear "How you doing Auntie"? His second question was always about his cousin Andrea. Then he became my personal shopper, because I'm short and it seemed like every time I went to get something it was on a top shelf. He will truly be missed. Wishing Latryna and family, peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.

I have known Calvin for about 20 years and was looking for him for the last 4 years. Got this sad news while sitting at my computer on 5/5. This is so unbelievable to me that this could happen to someone like him. He was such a good friend to me when I lived in Saginaw 17 years ago. We worked at Genesee Packaging together and he was such a joy to be around. Always there to lend a helping hand when needed and always made it fun to come to work. He was quite the jokester. You will be missed my good friend but never forgotten. I will pray for your family during this difficult time.
