Carl Nash, Sr. Obituary
Carl Nash, Sr., 84 years of age, passed away November 9, 2014. Carl was born May 18, 1930 in Peason, LA. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he enjoyed all of the times he got to spend with them. He had a strong work ethic and knowledge of how to fix most anything. Carl dedicated part of his younger life to serving our nation in the United States Army. He truly loved the outdoors, whether it was hunting or camping, he just loved to be outside. He was an ordained deacon as well as a 32nd degree mason. Carl had a quick wit, and was very seldom caught unprepared to give an answer. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his three children, Cart T. Nash, Jr. and wife Lori of Westlake, LA, Lynda Nash Dickson and husband Steve of Bossier City, LA; and Annette Guillory and husband Marty of Natchitoches, LA; one son-in-law, Rob Walsworth of Clarence, LA; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and five sisters, Maggie Isgitt of Anacoco, LA, Pat Williams of Shreveport, LA, Shirley Graham of Haughton, LA, Connie Hilton of Leesville, LA, and Sandra Hilton of Leesville, LA.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shawnee Osborn Nash; his parents, Charles Thomas Nash and Nettie Jane Norsworthy Nash; one daughter, Gayle Walsworth; two sisters, Pauline Williams and Rachal Moss; and two brothers, Quinton Nash and Gary Nash.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Clint Nash, Clint Sanford, Matthew Dickson, Austin Walsworth, Randy Achord, and Craig Rachal.

Mr. Carl was a joy to know. He and I always had to pretend we did not like each other when we first got together. After a little while of insults, we would start laughing and he would give me the biggest hug! He and Miss Shawnee and I often traveled together to hear gospel music groups. Dearly loved him, but know he is happily in Heaven with Miss Shawnee and they are getting caught up!! So sorry for your loss.
