Carl, I thought in coming back to Chicago-land last week, you and I could reconnect. I only wish that when you accidentally called me just a couple of weeks before passing, that I had known your condition. I sorely miss that I could not be with you to face this last challenge. Not sure how I stumbled upon this terrible news. I am deeply saddened to hear of Carl's passing. He was a great guy and I was privileged to work with him. Was teaching him to be a salesman and we visited Union Carbide. They were having a disaster because they couldn't get payroll checks printed. We were visiting frm the Bank and Carl volunteered to look at the printer. Right there and then he pulls out a little screwdriver and fixed the printer thus saving the day!!! Folks at Carbide...

Carl wast he first person I worked for at Continental Bank. I loved working with him. He was a great person and a great manager. He will be missed.
