Carol Rose Loyd, 70, of Yukon, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, in Oklahoma City, surrounded by her family.
She was born on January 2, 1956, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Oliver Buford Adair and Lois (Keeney) Behne. Carol graduated from Pauls Valley High School with the Class of 1974.
Carol met the love of her life, David Lewis Loyd, on New Year’s Eve in 1975. They were married on June 19, 1976, in Pauls Valley and shared nearly 50 years together. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of the Pauls Valley Methodist Church.
In her spare time, Carol enjoyed playing bingo. She was a great cook, and family and friends especially looked forward to her holiday dressing—though she never shared her recipe. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren participate in their favorite activities. She loved watching Mason play football and was proudly considered his biggest fan. Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Cathy Matthews; and two brothers, Daniel Adair and Cecil Adair.
Carol is survived by her husband, David Loyd of Yukon; three daughters, Christy Loyd and partner Greg Colbert of Blanchard, Angie Bates and husband Randall of Mustang, and Britni Loyd of Bridge Creek; one son, John Loyd of Yukon; two grandchildren, Mason Bates and Bodi Rudkins; her brother, John Adair of Guymon; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. An online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
