I knew Carol since high school. We'd been on many trips together. Great lady, fantastic friend, and an even better mother who truly loved her family.

She was the greatest grandmother a person could ask for. We got to visit for a week each summer, and she had a way of making Cascade, IA feel more magical than Disney World. Those trips were the highlight of my childhood and seeing her was always a treat. She was an amazing person and I will never forget her. I love you very much Grandma, now and forever

Carol Ann (Dahlem) Neiers, 80, of Cascade, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at her home in Cascade.
Private family services will be held at a later date. The Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade,m Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
Carol was born November 16, 1942, in Cascade, Iowa, daughter of Paul and Lorraine (Wiegand) Dahlem.
She is survived by eight children, Sheila Woods of Suwanee, GA, Diane Beck of Council Bluffs, IA, Deanne Nelson of Omaha, NE, Mike Neiers Jr., of Manchester, IA, Bill Neiers of Cascade, IA, Doug Neiers of North Liberty, IA, Jeff Neiers of Cascade, IA and Molly Bruns of Cascade, IA; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Phil, Bruce and Mike.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque for all the care they provided.
