Carol Scherer Obituary
Carol S. Scherer, 86, a resident of Washington, NC died Thursday, June 3, 2021. Ms. Scherer was born October 5, 1934 in Beaufort County in the Blounts Creek Community. She was the daughter of the late Henry O. Stubbs, Sr. and Laura Wiggins Stubbs. She graduated from Washington High School “Class of 1953”. She was employed with National Spinning Company for 49 years.
She is survived by two sons: Eric Scherer, Jeffrey Scherer and wife Georgia, three grandchildren: Brittany Scherer, Ashley Scherer and Julia Cooper, one great grandson, Jayden Cooper. She is also survived by two nephews: Michael T. Peed and wife Earlene of Washington, and Larry W. Stubbs of Springdale , AR.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings: Henry O. Stubbs, Jr., Marie S. Peed and Harold L. Stubbs.
Per Carol’s wishes, no services will be held.
