Carol Silacci Obituary

Carol Milias Silacci, a lifelong resident of Gilroy, passed away peacefully the 30th of August.

She grew up being a part of the family business, the Milias Hotel and Restaurant which was run by her parents, George C. Milias and Rachel Milias.

Carol then found her soul mate and partner for life, when she married Donald Silacci of Gilroy, Ca in 1959. Together they owned and operated a commercial cattle ranch along with the family feed store. She was always a high energy person who loved being outdoors. She enjoyed horseback riding and hunting every chance she could get, loved socializing, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.

During the years of her life, her family has remained by her side through it all and loves her dearly.

She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Services will be held Sunday, September 14th at 1:00pm on the family ranch In Gilroy, Ca.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Silacci's passing. She was a great women who helped our 4-H Club, Pacheco Pass Hyw. with excellent advise and guidance in the Beef Projects. She passed values on to the 4-H kids and raised the bar in what was expected of them. May she rest in peace, knowing she made a difference.

We're so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. She was so kind and generous to us when Jon and I first moved to the Chesbro Ranch, and she and Don were the first friends in town that we had. We hope to make it to her service, but if not, know that she holds a very special place in my heart.

We're so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. She was so kind and generous to us when Jon and I first moved to the Chesbro Ranch, and she and Don were the first friends in town that we had. She handed down the beautiful dresses that Chrissy and Donna had received as babies, and Mandy looked so cute in them. Although I didn't follow her advice to "go get pregnant again right away" after Mandy was born, I did cherish spending time with Carol and getting her advice on a multitude of topics. We hope to make it to her service, but if not, know that she holds a very special place in my heart.
