Carol Sowder Obituary
Carol Elaine Bullock Sowder, 76, of Somerset stepped peacefully into her celestial home on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Carol, a daughter of the late Howard Taft and Bessie Shell Bullock, was born in Hansford, Kentucky on August 19, 1940.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael, Giles, and Mitchell; sisters, Mildred Jean Pruitt, Anitia Louise Hutson, and C. Gail Malott.
Carol is survived by sisters, Valeria B. Reynolds of Florence, KY., and Martha B. "Marty" Whitson of Somerset, KY.; brother-in-law, J.C. Pruitt of Perryville, KY; and sisters-in-law, Sarah Neeley of Berea, KY., Alene Fowler of Frankfort, KY.
Left to mourn her passing are nieces, Michelle Irrazary, Jenny Reynolds, Courtney Malott, Nicole Descartes, and Lisa Bloom; nephews, Andy and Giles Bullock, Michael Hutson, Charles Reynolds, Barry Malott, Noah Malott, Wesley Pruitt, Mike Tarrant, Mark Whitson, and Eric Whitson. Special friends, Suzanne, Phil, Wanda, Larry, Luke, Vickie, Tara, Dallon, Mr. Burton, Bobby Sexton, young friend Mason, and lifeline nurses, Wendy and Louise.
A celebration of Life service in honor of Carol will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Ferguson Methodist Church, Ferguson, KY.
Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I was heartbroken to hear of the loss of my Great Aunt Carol. She was a beautiful bright spot every time we gathered and her genuine compassion for me and others is somewhat rares these days. My prayers are with the rest of my family during this time of great loss.
