Every word in her obituary is so true of Caroline. She never met a stranger. She gave her heart, soul and monetary means to her students at Heberle School. She loved teaching. Staff, students, parents and friends loved her. Look up to the heavens and pick out the brightest star...That is Caroline!

Caroline N. Howard, loving sister, cherished teacher, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her deeply. She was 85 years old.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Caroline was the daughter of the late Robert “Bud” and Dorothy Howard. She is survived by her sister, Jeannette Howard of Cincinnati, and leaves behind a community of devoted friends and students who were honored to walk beside her through life.
Caroline dedicated over 40 years of her life to teaching and mentoring inner city school children. She began her career at Summit Country Day School and spent the majority of her years teaching at Heberle Public School in Cincinnati’s inner city. With devotion and compassion, she guided generations of students, offering not just lessons but love, encouragement, and stability. Her classroom was a safe haven, and her impact on young lives cannot be measured. Her quiet acts of care—making sure every child had food to eat and a warm coat to wear. Her kindness, strength, and belief in every child’s potential will never be forgotten.
A passionate Cincinnati Reds fan, Caroline found great joy in cheering for her hometown team and was proud to call Pete Rose a friend. She also had a deep love of caring for animals, especially her cats, who brought her constant comfort and companionship.
Known for her generous heart, sharp wit, and quiet strength, Caroline was always ready to help someone in need and made everyone feel welcome in her presence. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Caroline was a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Maronite Catholic Church at 2530 Victory Parkway (East Walnut Hills). A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, 2025, from 10:00-10:30am. Mass will immediately follow at St. Anthony of Padua at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caroline’s memory to the St. Anthony of Padua Maronite Catholic Church Gathering Space, a place that reflected her love for community.
