Carson "C-dog" Pember, 18, of Erie, Colorado, passed away on December 9, 2024, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Born on February 1, 2006, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Carson was the beloved son of Jennifer Kellison and Shane Pember. He graduated from Erie High School in 2024 and was pursuing a degree in computer science at New Mexico State University.
A true sports enthusiast, Carson found joy in creating fantasy football teams with friends and had a passion for golf, skiing in Vail, hiking, and fishing. Known for his sharp wit and love of music, he spent countless hours curating playlists that reflected his vibrant personality. Carson cherished his time with family and friends as well as his pets, Dakota and Moose.
He is deeply missed by his sister, Treya Pember; his parents; grandparents Bruce and Glenna Pember of Arvada, Colorado, and Edward Nastav of Palos Hills, Illinois. Carson’s extended family also mourns his loss, including his step-parents, Brecke Dowling and Josh Kellison.
A celebration of life is being planned for the summer of 2025 to honor Carson’s memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado or a forthcoming memorial scholarship fund dedicated to his memory.
Carson will be remembered for the joy he brought to those who knew him and the passion with which he lived his life. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.

Carson is genuinely one of the most unique people that I’ve ever gotten to know. I truly don’t believe I will ever meet another Carson and I’m going to miss him forever, more than I thought I could. I’m so sad that he has to live out in our memories but I’m glad that they are good ones. Long live Carson Pember

Carson was one of my best friends. He was such a light to everyone and he could make anybody smile. He had such a wonderful soul and that reflected on the people around him. He will be forever missed by anybody that knew him. He will be remembered for being a goofball and making funny laughs, but also being blunt and never afraid to speak his mind. Long live Carson Pember.

I remember when both Treya and Carson were born when I worked with Jen. I knew two new, great humans were entering the world because I knew how great their mom, Jen, is. This family is goodness and light. Carson’s goodness and light will live on through Jen, Treya, and his other family members and friends who love him so much.
