Cecilia Raineri

1932 - 2025

 

Cecilia Raineri (nee Cirrincione) born February 2, 1932, went peacefully to her heavenly home on September 19, 2025 at the age of 93.

Cecilia was born in Ventimiglia, Sicily and immigrated to Chicago at the age of 15. She raised her family in River Forest and was actively involved in her parish since 1964. She held her family and friends very close to her heart.  Cecilia showed her love through generosity, devotion to her family, and her delicious, abundant food. She created a warm home filled with love, laughter, and faith. We all have been so blessed and thank God to have had Cecilia in our lives for 93 glorious years. She will be greatly missed. Cecilia was the loving mother of Luciano (deceased), Josephine (Richard) Belniak, Rosemary (Gary) Ciccione, Jacqueline Romano, Anna (Mark) Poulin, Anthony Raineri, and Maria (Jack) Van Dyke.  Devoted grandmother of Jenna, Larry, Julie, Matt, Chrissy, Sam, Joe, Gina, Micheal, David, Christopher, Mark, Matthew, Anna, Anthony, Joey, Emily, Kate, and Jack, Jr.  Cherished great grandmother to 18.  Dearest sister of Anthony (Karen) Cirrincione, the late Mary (late Toto) D’Arpa and the late Salvatore (late Franca) Cirrincione.  Cherished aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Thursday September 25 at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1530 Jackson Avenue, River Forest. 

A Funeral mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Vincent de Paul Chicago, Illinois at stvdep.org
