CECILY HOPE BERKOPEC, age 48. Loving daughter of Janet (nee Lucas) and Frank Berkopec; dear sister of Deirdre Roselli (Patrick), Heather Sauer (Michael) and Frank (Nicole); special aunt of Jacob and Marlo; niece and friend of many.
She was in a word: Fierce. “I can do it myself” was her resounding chorus throughout her life and she did. Whether it was asking to be included in mainstreamed classes in high school, learning how the seating software worked at the Olive Garden hostess station, or walking up to anyone she met and introducing herself, she was an undeniable force of nature. Her impact was felt by each life she touched, inspiring those around her to see her bravery and courage as she faced all of life’s challenges, big and small. She will be missed for her sweet smile, her tinkling little laugh, her mighty hugs, her tears of joy and of course, her awesome dance moves. Rest In Peace, dearest Cecily.

We are sorry for your loss. Cecily Hope: what an appropriate name. I remember her dancing at Heidi and Mark's wedding. It was joyful.

We will miss Cecily so much. She was always kind and loving. She also had a great wit as well! I will miss her sweet voice, as she would always answer the phone when I called from California. We would catch up with what she had been doing, then she would hand the phone to her mother. I will always cherish those conversations. May you rest in peace dear niece ❤ Love, Aunt Holly and Uncle Dick

I knew Cecily had been in failing health but was so saddened to hear of her death. I always enjoyed seeing her at Olive Garden, at church, and, especially, at Jazzercise. She just loved her workout. Deepest condolences go out to Janet and the rest of her dear family. Cicely was always an angel; now she can soar!

Sending big hugs and prayers to Cecily's family and friends. I worked with her for years at Olive Garden. She was always such a kind soul and independent. She will truly be missed - I loved when her time off she would come in for dinner with mom and dad just to hang out.

I was so sad to learn of Cecily's passing. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Cecily was always such a pleasure to have in our dental office for so many years. We always chatted about so many different topics - her favorite singers, favorite food, exercise routines, etc., and she was always sure to remind me to stay on time because she had other tasks to do for the day. I can't even count how many times Cecily expressed to me how much she loved her family and her special "wine days" with her sister Deirdre. I always found it so cute how Cecily would always ask me about my family at every visit as well. She really could not have asked for a better family to take care of her. She was certainly one of a kind and we will all miss her as part of our dental family. Cecily always left her appointments and gave me a hug which was so adorable. May the peace that comes from the memories of your love comfort you now and in the days ahead.

Cecily was unique.. always uplifting and happy. Everyone loved her. She always put a smile on your face. She enjoyed life and especially her family who were devoted to her. She had her sport favorites and knew all their stats, birthdates, etc.
This is my favorite sisters picture.
